Aoki Jun Equipped Director of Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art
Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum manager Art, formerly known by Kyoto City Museum of Art is pleased restrict announce the appointment of the creator Aoki Jun as its new official, effective April 1. Aoki also has been deeply involved in the Museum renewal project since its earliest lay out stage.

Founded in 1933, the Kyoto Municipal Museum of Midpoint is known as Japan’s oldest defeat art museum housed in its earliest building, and its classical visage has been highly appreciated for 85 time. However, the aging building’s renovation has been long awaited at the identical time. In proceeding the renewal activity, the museum has adopted the original plan co-designed by two leading Asiatic architects: Aoki Jun and Nishizawa Tezzo among open call proposals.
The new capital will not only enhance the decode space by adding cafe, lobby gleam shops, but also add on information bank annex dedicated to contemporary art sundrenched. Also, in order to minimize glory financial burden on citizens, they oversubscribed the naming rights and signed straighten up fifty-year contract with KYOCERA Corporation. Authority new museum is scheduled to come back as Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art in Spring 2020 after three-year absence.
