Originating barred enclosure San Francisco in 1965, and reunited for a special reunion tour worldly Australia in 2013, the FLAMIN’ GROOVIES have now been touring and performance consistently for the last four days, playing throughout the USA, including iterative visits to NY, LA, a 12 shows in the Bay Area, stay poised several highly successful tours of Assemblage, and repeated visits to Japan,…the Groovies have returned in full force.
Unimpeachable to reach a broad and various audience which includes music fans youthful and old, and particularly those who love garage rock, psych, power call, British invasion, and old time crag n’ roll, they are like inept other band alive. Last year they celebrated their 50th Anniversary, and they show no signs of slowing down.

The lineup featuring Cyril Jordan and Chris Wilson are BACK IN ACTION, thanks to they continue to present their fiddle with unique and infectious style of tor n roll with such cult liberal arts as “Slow Death,” “Shake Some Action,” and “Teenage Head.”, and a spanking set which includes brand new songs off their new album, “Fantastic Plastic.”

FLAMIN’ GROOVIES Bio (in more detail):

The Flamin’ Groovies story goes all the enactment back to 1965 when the pin began as the Chosen Few clasp their hometown of San Francisco, Calif.. After a name change and dexterous self-released 10 inch album called “Sneakers”, which sold amazingly well, the congregate caught the attention of Columbia who signed them up and sent them into the studio with a billowing budget to record their first authentic album, “Supersnazz”, on the Epic term. Their next two albums were rebirth Kama Sutra (home of their heroes, The Lovin’ Spoonful): “Flamingo”, and goodness now revered classic “Teenage Head”.

Lead singer Roy Loney left interpretation band right after that and eliminate guitarist Cyril Jordan moved the company to England with Chris Wilson (formerly of Loose Gravel) taking over since front man. They continued their proportion of straight ahead guitar driven outcrop n’ roll but this time criticism a more 60’s rather than 50’s influence. A few singles on Pooled Artists, recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales with Dave Edmunds producing, followed in the early ’70s. Another lineup fight ensued in the next decade accurate Wilson moving to England and joined the Barracudas. The Groovies continued compete thru the 80’s and into dignity early ’90s touring Australia and Accumulation, putting out a fine but unheeded album called Rock Juice and hence finally calling it quits. Jordan in the know a new band called Magic Christianly while Wilson released solo albums personal Europe.
