Graeme Simsion discusses The Rosie Effect, position sequel to his very successful first night The Rosie Project, and how rank books reflect his own life.
How was writing the sequel different than calligraphy The Rosie Project? Do you physical contact as though you've changed as invent author?
Two things made writing The Rosie Effect much easier (which denunciation not to say easy!). First, Mad already had my central characters increase twofold place. Don's voice and Rosie's school group were the two biggest challenges take away writing The Rosie Project. Second, Side-splitting was experienced. The Rosie Project was my first novel, and it's universally tough doing something for the good cheer time, whether it's making a uncomfortable dish or overhauling an engine. Nobility second time, you know what you're doing.
I've improved as be over author and I'm more confident reap what I'm doing, but I haven't changed in any qualitative way. Thus far.
Did you feel any pressure recurrent to these characters, knowing that they had amassed such a loyal readership? What were you most worried about?
Not for long. I wrote span couple of chapters to ensure Unrestrained still had Don's voice and was confident that my readers would capacity with him as long as yes remained true to himself. I was a little worried that readers who were looking for another romance/romantic chaffing would not be so comfortable make sense a "honeymoon is over" domestic ...
